ASI is pleased to announce that the exhibition catalogue accompanying its Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910 tour (see Upcoming Exhibitions) will be produced and distributed by ASI with Skira Rizzoli Publishing. This company is the newest creation of RCS Libri (the book division of Italian communications giant RCS Media Group), and aims to bring museum exhibition content to a larger audience through superior, quality publications.
The 320-page catalogue includes approximately 370 color plates, extended entries on works in the exhibition, maps, a timeline and biographical information on the artists. In addition, essays will be provided by Phillip Dennis Cate, Director Emeritus, The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, independent scholar and Guest Curator of the exhibition; Belinda Thomson, Honorary Fellow, University of Edinburgh and renowned scholar of Post-Impressionism; Fred Leeman, former Chief Curator of paintings at the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, and independent scholar; and Christopher Lloyd, formerly Surveyor of The Queen’s Pictures.
The catalogue will become available when Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910 premieres at the Nevada Museum of Art in November of 2013. Subsequent venues include the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, Ohio; the Foothills Art Center, Golden, Colorado; the Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach, Florida, and the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, California.
